Christmas is getting closer, and it’s time to deck the halls! As we’ve spent so much time inside this year, why not change up your Christmas decorations a little? It’s important to give ourselves variety and new things to enjoy during these trying times.
Here are four different decoration styles and a bunch of easy ideas for you to incorporate to make Christmas special just by adding some new stuff to your living areas.
Lanterns add a warm glow and help to create a cozy Christmas atmosphere!
Origami Trees
A classic, stylish, and easy craft project. Here’s a tutorial you can follow!
You can find new and interesting ways to give a spin to the traditional tree (be it natural or artificial).
Incorporate real plants
You don’t need an actual tree, you can just use your houseplants and make them a part of your decoration.
Advent calendars are a fun way to entertain children and build excitement throughout the entire month of December.
Muffin pan
You can really use anything you have at home, for example, hanging a muffin tin from your wall and filling it with different presents!
An easy way to make your home look cohesive is keeping a consistent color palette or style throughout.
Scandinavian Minimalism
Minimalism is a way to make your place look stylish and stripped down. Simple wooden ornaments, sparse decoration, woolly white pillows, presents wrapped kraft paper and twine; it’s perfect if you want to decorate in a way that isn’t showy or loud.
Silvery Winter Wonderland
The winter theme is present throughout Christmas decorations, but you can make it the predominant feature in your decor by keeping a blue and silver palette and adding cutout snowflakes or silver tinsel wherever you can.
Farmhouse
Probably the easiest way to add a thematic line to your decoration. Some rustic wood, pinecones, lots of plaid and blankets galore! You probably won’t even need new decorations, just get whatever you can from your home.
White and Gold
It’s the second favorite color palette after red and green and there’s a reason why it’s so popular. It elevates a place’s look and makes it classy and regal.
