Using Feng Shui in Interior Design

Feng shui is a Chinese philosophy that says the energy in your environment influences your well-being. It's based on the idea that there are positive and negative forces in the world, and they can affect how you feel. Feng shui originated around 4,000 BC, when people first started noticing how certain places made them feel different than other places.

The rules of feng shui are based on the principles of yin and yang—the way these two opposing forces interact to form a balance. The goal of feng shui is to create harmony in your space by balancing these energies so that they support your life instead of working against it. These energies can be manipulated to create positive changes in your life—for example, by placing certain objects in specific spots in your home or office.

What is a bagua map?

A bagua map is a tool for understanding how different areas of your home or office can affect your life. It's a grid that's divided into nine sections (representing the nine numbers in Chinese numerology) and each section represents certain aspects of your life. For example, if you have a desk that's in the "knowledge" section of your bagua map, it could mean that you're going to be working on projects that help you learn new things or expand your mind.

There are two different approaches to using a bagua map: The traditional (or compass) bagua map uses a compass to determine the different areas of the home. The front door method, on the other hand, aligns the bottom of the bagua map with a home's front door.

In feng shui, your home is seen as a reflection of your life. The bagua map helps you see how your home's layout might be holding you back from reaching your full potential. It helps guide you toward making changes that can make a big difference in how you feel and what happens in your life.

You can use a Bagua map to understand what areas of your home or office are most conducive to certain kinds of activities and then make decisions about where you want to put desks, beds, etc.
