Translucent Ceilings at Saks Fifth Avenue

Translucent ceiling is one of our most popular ceilings right now, and it makes sense that brands are catching up! It’s a great way to add a design element to the space, while also adding lighting to your ceiling: it’s a win/win situation.

Saks Fifth Avenue is an American luxury department store chain headquartered in New York City and founded by Andrew Saks. For Saks Fifth Avenue in Miami, our client wanted to create the illusion of a striped ceiling. For this, we created three separate lightboxes, and then covered each with translucent PVC material.

But… what is translucent stretch ceiling, you might be wondering? Well, it’s basically sheets of PVC material that are stretched over a light fixture. The light then shines through, giving your space a soft glow.

Here are some other examples of times we’ve used translucent stretch ceiling!
